Star Clusters Tarot is a Rider-Waite style tarot deck. We expand the background of the original Rider-Waite "Journey of the Fool" to the vast universe, then follow the Fool's dilapidated Formula racing car to embark on a fantastical, retro galactic journey. Each Major Arcana card is a stop along the journey and also a new starting point; we will glimpse the mysteries of the universe through them. The artistic concepts behind the 78 cards will converge into an imaginative carnival party taking place in the galaxy.
Star Clusters Tarot focuses on sci-fi works and futurist styles from the 1960s-70s, drawing nourishment from other cultural symbols: Asimov, "2001: A Space Odyssey", "Star Trek", the Hippie Movement, the British Invasion, Glam Rock, Japanese Tokusatsu... These classic elements shine individually, much like the concept of star clusters, connecting with each other to form an era-specific star cluster that cannot be replicated.
Star Cluster Journey - Major Arcana
We watch that fool driving a yellow race car rush towards space, our hearts beating along with him; perhaps we are fools too. Regardless, it is like life itself—a journey once embarked upon that has no turning back. Yet, we are not alone during this journey. We will meet fellow travelers like ourselves, extraordinary beings occupying tiny planets alone, or gods and angels hidden within the sea of Subconscious... All of this is not coincidental; they have been waiting in the galaxy to meet us.
Star Cluster Journey - Wands
Adventure will unfold on this barren red planet. Everywhere one looks are deserts and rocks; rivers and lakes appear rust-red due to high mineral content. On such a planet, a powerful empire was born. A group called the Wands Guardians control the empire's lifeline. They are strictly hierarchical and advocate order. Although their pursuit of worldly achievements and power seems somewhat extreme and fanatical, it is precisely because of this that the planet has regained new vitality, like a tender leaf growing on a withered branch.

The Cup Planet is a blue planet entirely covered by water. The water here is bottomless and rich in nutrients, making it a paradise yearned for by strange marine creatures and sentimental cosmic drifters. However, it is not always calm; sometimes waves surge, and undercurrents flow. People believe the water on this planet contains magic affecting emotions and Subconscious. They pour the water into those shining Cups, or pour it out, seeking balance within their inner world.

The Sword Planet is a mysterious green planet. Here lie towering mountains, with howling winds throughout the year, suitable only for flying beasts to survive. However, in this wild land exists a hidden kingdom. The subjects of the kingdom are all warriors; they practice swordsmanship here and pursue understanding the philosophy and wisdom behind martial arts through ascetic training. Of course, conflict and bloodshed never cease here; they consider this a necessary sacrifice on the path to pursuing the "Spirit of the Sword".

When our feet step onto that fertile golden planet, the journey begins a new chapter. Strange plants grow everywhere here, beautiful as in fairy tales. Moreover, sparkling yellow crystals cover the land. This ore contains powerful "Stellar Energy"; even an energy crystal the size of an egg is enough to support the energy required for a solar system tour. This attracts all travelers; some come to join the ranks of interstellar miners, others become skilled "Stellar Energy" refiners, while some act as merchants seeking opportunities in supply and demand relations.
