"Sleeper's Tarot" is a deck of tarot cards drawn by Mouse Achi starting from 2019, spanning three years.

The entire deck was created as a secondary interpretation based on the meanings of the Rider-Waite Tarot, honoring traditional Rider-Waite, refusing to modify the direction of card meanings, and focusing on providing visual information for the tarot reader.

The inspiration comes from — colorful ink hidden in drawers during childhood, fruit hard candies, and the seven-colored clouds stepped upon while flying in dreams. Every card underwent repeated contemplation and redrawing, striving to reach the best appearance in the author's heart.

The full set comprises 80 cards, including 78 traditional tarot cards and 2 Special Cards: "The Awakened One" and "The Sleepwalker". Except for the Special Card "The Awakened One", all characters appearing on the cards have their eyes closed, representing that they are sleepwalking. In "The Awakened One", the little girl embraces the dreamer and awakens, representing our reconciliation with nightmares.

Creation Story:

I am a strange person; when I dream, I often stay in a conscious state, which means knowing I am dreaming, commonly called a "lucid dream".

When I was young, I would often dream of a "Mom" running into the house, as if doing normal housework, but suddenly starting to transform, turning into a ferocious monster while running, relentlessly chasing me. After waking up startled, I would rush into my real mom's arms and sob loudly.

Until I was 26, I dreamed of that fake Mom again. As soon as I saw her, I knew I was dreaming again. She was washing clothes and told me, "You're going to be late for work, hurry up and leave!"

I said I was sure I was dreaming, and you are the Mom in the dream! After being exposed, she actually started smiling? Seeing her smile, I suddenly inexplicably felt intimacy and reluctance to part, so I hurriedly said, "But, but I don't know when I'll see you next time, can I hug you! Mom!" I spread my arms wide to her, and she also hugged me — sunlight radiated from the Mother, she seemed like an angel emitting light, enveloping me.

I woke up, tears filling my eyes — from then on, I was no longer afraid of the monsters in the dream, I reconciled with them.

Later, the fake Mom never appeared in my dreams again, but every time I thought of her, I couldn't help but shed tears, as if she was an angel who would leave after completing the mission of accompanying me growing up.

I feel that every dream person exists; they exist in our hearts, accompanying us through a childhood, and accompanying us through the road afterwards. So for these years, I have been persistent about the mystery of dreams, I firmly believe the power of dreams is very powerful.

And Tarot is just like a dream, helping you see the inner world and subconscious that you cannot see, so I used three years to polish out a "Sleepwalker's" Tarot deck made with the power of dreams.
