SILHOUETTES TAROT-Standard Edition
Number of Cards: 83 Cards
Recommendation: Use Upright and Reversed
Supports Hidden Expansion Cards
The design inspiration for The Silhouettes Tarot comes from paper-cutting art. We hope to outline a fairytale-like dream world through the presentation of this art form.
The Silhouettes Tarot is divided into the "Standard Edition" and the "Negative Edition". Both editions share the same card meanings; this deck is the Standard Edition.
The images presented in the "Standard Edition" are rendered from a backlit perspective visible to the naked eye. When viewing the paper cutouts, the patterns themselves must be darker than the surrounding light so that the silhouette of the paper cutting can be outlined through the contrast of light and shadow; we call this a "silhouette". The "Standard Edition" represents the perspective under conventional silhouette conditions.
The "Negative Edition" presents a front-lit scene, as if there is a light source behind the pattern you are viewing, illuminating the objects while the distant background gradually fades. The creation of the "Negative Edition" also aims to outline an unconventional perceptual image through different observation perspectives and display formats.
Whether "positive" or "negative", whether "backlit" or "front-lit", these are all angles of observing this world. We hope to open a new door for the user's interpretive process.
